In the aftermath of the devastating Earthquake that struck Port-au-Prince, the International Red Cross reports that a third of Haiti’s nine million people needed emergency aid in light of the unprecedented amount of damage.
The United States and other nations — from Iceland to Venezuela — sent aid workers and rescue teams to Haiti to carry out an unprecedented emergency operation. The International Red Cross and other aid groups gathered hundreds of millions of USD for major relief operations. However, there is much that is still needed to be done to help the Western Hemisphere’s poorest country.

As the entire world rushed to provide immediate aid to those in need, our teams were also on the scene in Haiti seeking medium to long term solutions for the multitude of people that have now been displaced from their daily routines.
Resulting from our “QUEST for a New Haiti” initiative we have put together an ISO 26000-based project for developing a self-sufficient, sustainable, functionally viable and economically autonomous community.

| Among the first of QUEST's success stories was providing orientation to owners of rural lands north of Port-Au-Prince.
As the Government invoked imminent domain over the lands of people with modest and humble background and education, QUEST was able to connect rural land owners with reputable lawyers and the correct Government officials to successfully negotate compensation terms.
QUEST continues to work with rural land owners in Haiti to help bring viable development projects to these zones.
